National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month

May 1, 2008

April showers bring May flowers and May flowers often produce the allergens that kick off the peak season for allergy and asthma sufferers. Each year, the month of May is designated as National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month.

That makes this the perfect time to educate yourself, your family, friends and co-workers about these diseases. There’s no better way to mark the occasion than by taking advantage of the great resources available on this website. By using the resources on this site, there’s nothing that stands in the way of asthma and allergy sufferers from having a full and active life—with proper diagnosis, prevention and treatment, there are no limits to what people with asthma and allergies can do.

May is also host to other celebrations.

World Asthma Day – May 6

Food Allergy Awareness Week – May 12-18
Food allergies and the respiratory implications those allergies hold are the focus of this week in mid-May.
