Asthma Tied to Higher Risk of Sleep Apnea
If you have asthma, you may be at higher risk for sleep apnea, finds a new study out of Wisconsin that followed about 550 men and women who did and did not have asthma. People with asthma faced nearly a 40% increased risk of developing the sleep disorder.

Asthma May Not Be All in the Family After All
The largest study of its kind has concluded that asthma may not be as entrenched in heredity as previously thought. Chicago investigators who studied more than 33,000 possible mutations only found three that were linked to asthma, and these three were present in less than 5% of the population.
